working on the quad-plex

The quad-plex is a steel building brought to Bongolo in containers from the USA. It is going to be used to house doctors and their families. The inside walls are constructed from concrete block. We are cutting out the window and door openings and installing door and window frames, all of which are made out of metal.

The high humidity and heat has been a challenge. We are drinking lots of water that we need to filter. We are using more than we can filter, so the missionaries are helping us out by giving us some of theirs. (Pictures) John Dyk, John Yoder, Gerald Hodson

hospital

Vicky spent the morning at the hospital. She followed around some nursing students while they took vital signs. She also, made rounds with Dr. Saskia DePoel, who is from the Netherlands. Vicky was amazed at how much they can accomplish with so little and it is very evident how much they care for the people.

That is what this place is all about! Letting God get His work done through the hands and feet of his people so that more people can know Jesus!

Last year 1200 Gabonise people recieved Christ through the hospital Ministry.

I'm glad to see you are actually working. I guess this disproves the misinformed who claim short term mission trips are vacations. Please let us know specific prayer requests as you encounter troubles of any kind. Just like Moses had his helpers holding his arms up while the Isrealites fought, we want to pray you through your "vacation" battles. ---Bev

Well, I was going to complain about all the snow and cold weather we have been getting these past few days but…this might not be a great audience by the looks of the two/tone t-shirts you’re all wearing. You keep building the Kingdom and we’ll keep praying.
Love Ya,
MVASEJ Hodson

P.S. Sarah says she has some ice cream for you (your back looks hot!)
